NTT IndyCar Series Preview: ABC Supply 500 – Sunday, August 18, 2019 2:00PM (ET) NBCSN – Previous driver experience at Pocono Raceway shows four former winners in the field in Will Power (2), Scott Dixon (1), Ryan Hunter-Reay (1), and Alexander Rossi (1). The Top 5 in laps led are Rossi (228), Power (191), Tony Kanaan (147), Marco Andretti (97), and Dixon (95). Rossi and Power have won over the last two years. Looking at the box scores from 2018 and 2017, Rossi, Power, and Josef Newgarden have finished in the Top 5 in each of the last two years. If that’s expanded to the Top 10, the list includes Dixon and Simon Pagenaud. My pick to win: Alexander Rossi – Rossi dominated this race last year and has been the best driver in the series on the big ovals over the last couple seasons. He needs a win this weekend to really bolster his championship hopes and I think he’s going to get the job done.

My picks: Will Power, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Colton Herta, & Santino Ferrucci – This week’s pricing makes it really to tough to front load your team with the favorites in Rossi, Newgarden, and Pagenaud. I’m going with balance here. Power has done well at Pocono in recent years and is good value at $28. Hunter-Reay has a couple podiums at Pocono and you know the Andretti cars will be fast on a superspeedway. To finish out my lineup I’m going with two rookies you know will put on a show and just hope they finish in Herta and Ferrucci.
